Role Overview
The Chef de Partie – Pastry is responsible for supporting the Pastry Chef in all aspects of dessert and pastry preparation, quality control, and kitchen operations. This hands-on position requires creativity, leadership, and precision in maintaining high standards of culinary excellence in a fast-paced luxury resort environment.
As a key member of the pastry team, you will assist in crafting elegant and innovative desserts for a variety of outlets — including à la carte restaurants, buffets, special events, and room service. You will also be expected to uphold strict hygiene practices, participate in menu development, and help manage inventory and training within the department.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the pastry section on a day-to-day basis under the guidance of the Pastry Chef.

Prepare, bake, and plate a wide range of desserts, pastries, and breads according to the resort’s culinary standards.

Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes, menus, and seasonal offerings that reflect international trends and local flavors.

Ensure all pastries are prepared with a focus on quality, taste, consistency, and visual appeal.

Maintain organized inventory of pastry ingredients, monitor stock levels, and assist in placing orders as needed.

Follow and enforce proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices in compliance with resort policies and local regulations.

Train and mentor junior pastry staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.

Address guest feedback promptly and positively to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement in culinary offerings.

Assist with kitchen audits, safety checks, and health inspections as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Proficiency in kitchen operations including mise en place, stock rotation, and food costing.

Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and a meticulous eye for detail.

Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
