Position Overview: Commis Chef (Local – Female)
We are currently seeking a dedicated Female Commis Chef to support our culinary team. This entry-level kitchen position is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to gain experience in a professional and internationally renowned resort kitchen.
The Commis Chef will report to the Chef de Partie and assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation within her assigned section. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow recipes precisely, and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the kitchen section efficiently and maintain high food standards at all times.

Take full responsibility for the kitchen section in the absence of the Chef de Partie.

Prepare and complete mise-en-place for service periods, ensuring all components are ready before the commencement of service.

Work closely with senior chefs to prepare dishes accurately, adhering to presentation standards and portion sizes.

Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet the resort’s quality and consistency standards.

Report any shortages in ingredients or mise-en-place to the Chef de Partie promptly.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of workstations according to hygiene and safety guidelines.

Stay informed about the daily menu and any special items being served.

Adhere to food safety practices and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Support the team with other kitchen-related duties as assigned, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for the position of Commis Chef, candidates should meet the following requirements:

Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a similar capacity in a professional kitchen.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.

A passion for food preparation and culinary arts, with a strong desire to grow and learn.

Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
