Position: Public Area Attendant

Department: Housekeeping
Location: JOALI BEING, Bodufushi Island, Raa Atoll, Maldives

As a Public Area Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, aesthetics, and maintenance of all public areas within the retreat. Your contribution helps create a pristine and inviting environment that enhances our guests' experience and supports their wellness journey.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all public areas of the retreat—including lobbies, lounges, spa areas, fitness centers, walkways, restrooms, and other communal spaces—are consistently clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
Perform cleaning duties according to the retreat’s hygiene standards and sustainable practices.
Handle cleaning equipment and eco-friendly supplies properly to maintain environmental and operational standards.
Report any maintenance issues or potential hazards to the engineering or housekeeping supervisor promptly.
Assist with guest requests courteously, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Work closely with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules during high-traffic hours or special events.
Uphold and reflect the brand’s values of integrity, respect, and passion in every action and interaction.
Adapt to different tasks and responsibilities based on the day’s operational needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this role and thrive in the JOALI BEING environment, we are looking for individuals who possess the following:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a housekeeping or public area cleaning role, specifically in a five-star luxury resort environment.
Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
An outgoing and professional personality with the ability to engage positively with colleagues and guests.
Team player mindset, with a proactive approach and willingness to take initiative.
Demonstrated adaptability and resilience to operate efficiently in a remote island setting.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering service excellence consistently.
Physically fit, capable of performing cleaning and housekeeping duties over extended periods.
Knowledge of sustainable cleaning practices and use of environmentally friendly products is an advantage.
Prior experience in wellbeing, wellness, or eco-resorts is highly desirable.
Maldivian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
