Position Overview: Pool Attendant

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is currently seeking a Pool Attendant to join its exceptional team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy maintaining high standards, and take pride in creating a flawless guest experience.

As a Pool Attendant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the resort’s swimming pools. Your primary focus will be to ensure the pools are impeccably clean and always ready for guest use. You will also play a vital role in supporting guest satisfaction by responding to poolside requests, maintaining a discreet yet helpful presence, and ensuring the ambiance reflects the luxury standards of the resort.

This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and a guest-first mindset. The Pool Attendant must work in coordination with various departments to ensure seamless service and an overall outstanding experience for resort guests.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pool Maintenance & Cleanliness

    • Conduct daily cleaning of assigned pools, including skimming, vacuuming, and debris removal.

    • Ensure that all swimming pools and surrounding areas are well-maintained and visually appealing throughout the day.

    • Regularly monitor and maintain water levels and chemical balances according to resort standards.

    • Clean and organize poolside furniture, towels, and accessories.

  • Guest Service & Support

    • Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner at the poolside area.

    • Attend to guest needs by providing towels, assisting with sun loungers, and responding to any pool-related queries or requests.

    • Ensure a calm, safe, and inviting environment for guests to relax by the pool.

  • Health, Safety & Hygiene

    • Conduct frequent inspections of the pool area to ensure it complies with safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.

    • Promptly report any malfunctioning equipment, plumbing issues, or safety concerns to the maintenance team.

    • Assist in enforcing pool safety rules and ensuring that the environment remains hazard-free.

  • Interdepartmental Coordination

    • Work closely with the housekeeping and front office departments to coordinate poolside services.

    • Communicate effectively with maintenance to ensure pool conditions are monitored and maintained regularly.

  • Guest Privacy & Discretion

    • Respect guest privacy and maintain a discreet presence at all times.

    • Perform duties efficiently and quietly to avoid disturbing guests’ poolside experience.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a similar capacity, ideally within the hospitality or resort industry.

  • Strong ability to work independently and take initiative while adhering to resort protocols.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle guest requests professionally, calmly, and with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Energetic, adaptable, and willing to work in a dynamic environment.

  • Basic understanding of pool cleaning procedures, maintenance, and water treatment is preferred.

  • Physically fit, with the ability to work outdoors for extended periods and perform manual tasks efficiently.

  • Must demonstrate a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
