About the Role: Chef De Partie (Maldivian Chef – Canteen)

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified Maldivian Chef to take on the role of Chef De Partie for our associate canteen. This position offers the opportunity to lead and manage the preparation of daily meals for our team, ensuring that each dish meets our standards of taste, nutrition, and presentation.
As the Chef De Partie, you will be a key figure in our culinary operations, contributing to the wellbeing and satisfaction of our staff members while upholding our resort’s reputation for quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise Daily Canteen Operations:
Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals specifically for resort associates, ensuring high quality and timely service. -
Menu Planning & Creativity:
Develop and update nutritious and appealing menus that reflect local Maldivian flavors while meeting dietary needs and preferences. -
Leadership & Training:
Lead the canteen kitchen team, monitor attendance, performance, and ensure a harmonious working environment. Participate in on-the-job training and development programs for apprentices, junior chefs, and stewards. -
Maintain Hygiene & Safety Standards:
Uphold the highest standards in kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and personal presentation. Ensure proper storage of all food items and correct use and maintenance of kitchen equipment. -
Collaborate with Senior Chefs:
Communicate regularly with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef regarding kitchen needs, staff training, and overall culinary standards. -
Support Operational Efficiency:
Assist in inventory control, minimize food waste, and contribute to cost-effective kitchen operations without compromising on quality.
Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.

Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of responsibility.

A positive and flexible attitude with a passion for Maldivian cuisine and a commitment to quality.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire and guide junior team members.

Excellent communication skills in both Dhivehi and English are an added advantage.
