Anantara Maldives is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of People & Culture to lead human resources operations across its three stunning island properties. This role is ideal for a dynamic Maldivian professional who excels in strategic HR leadership and thrives in a multicultural, luxury resort environment.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of talent management, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational culture. As a key member of the resort’s executive leadership team, the Director of People & Culture will play an instrumental role in shaping a workplace that fosters collaboration, growth, and excellence in service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR strategy and initiatives across Anantara Dhigu, Anantara Veli, and Naladhu Private Island Maldives.
- Oversee recruitment, training, employee relations, and performance management.
- Develop and implement programs to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Ensure compliance with Maldivian labor laws and expatriate employment regulations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the HR team, ensuring operational excellence.
- Foster a workplace culture that aligns with Anantara’s values of respect, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a strategic business partner to the General Managers and leadership teams across all three resorts.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Must be a Maldivian national (as required by Maldivian law).
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a Director or Cluster role within luxury hospitality or resort operations.
- Proven experience managing multi-property HR functions.
- Strong understanding of Maldivian labor regulations and expatriate employment processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, emotional intelligence, and cross-cultural awareness.
- Experience with HR systems such as Workday, Fusion, or similar platforms.
