Noku Maldives is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee the resort’s procurement operations. This key role ensures the timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with sustainability and ethical policies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the hospitality industry, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities
As a Purchasing Manager at Noku Maldives, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage procurement of all goods and services, including food, non-food, and maintenance products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers for timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Research and identify alternative supply sources and recommend procurement strategies for optimal value.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand procurement needs and provide suitable product recommendations.
- Ensure all food procurement complies with HACCP standards.
- Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and inventory management systems.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Manage the procurement budget, monitor variances, and implement corrective measures.
- Develop performance metrics to assess procurement effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably in the hospitality industry in the Maldives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
