Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives is seeking an experienced and dedicated Hygiene and Sustainability Manager to join its dynamic team under the Admin & General department. This role is integral to ensuring the resort’s high standards of hygiene, food safety, and sustainability are consistently maintained.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in hygiene management, sustainability initiatives, and operational compliance within a luxury resort environment. Key Responsibilities

As the Hygiene and Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring hygiene and food safety standards across all resort departments.
• Leading sustainability programs aligned with Sun Siyam’s environmental goals, including waste reduction, recycling, and resource efficiency initiatives.
• Conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure full compliance with HACCP, sanitation, and sustainability protocols.
• Providing training and awareness programs for staff to enhance hygiene and environmental practices.
• Maintaining detailed documentation and reports related to hygiene, sustainability, and compliance performance.
• Collaborating with culinary, housekeeping, and engineering teams to ensure best practices are maintained across operations.
• Representing the resort during external audits, inspections, and sustainability certifications.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (with a sustainability focus) or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sustainability management, hygiene, or food safety, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Certifications such as TRUE Advisor (Total Resource Use and Efficiency), CSR-P (Certified Sustainability Professional), HACCP, or Food Safety Management.
• In-depth knowledge of Microbiology, Sanitation Protocols, HACCP & Risk Management, Auditing, and Inspection Processes.
• Strong leadership and training skills, with the ability to guide and motivate team members.
• Commitment to high-quality customer service and sustainable operational excellence.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
