Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Human Resources at Kurumba Maldives, you will:

Advise the General Manager on human capital strategy and organizational development.

Lead the HR department, including Learning & Development, Employee Welfare, and the resort clinic.

Implement programs that foster an inclusive, respectful, and performance-driven culture.

Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and employer branding initiatives.

Manage performance management, succession planning, and employee development programs.

Maintain and improve HR systems and ensure alignment with operational needs.

Promote employee health and well-being through wellness and safety programs.

Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
-
Provide coaching and support to department leaders on HR-related issues.

Analyze and report on HR metrics for informed decision-making.

Manage HR budgets and forecast staffing costs effectively.

Support operational departments in managing team accommodations and welfare initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Minimum 3 years of senior HR leadership experience in a luxury or full-service resort environment.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Professional HR certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, HRCI).

Strong knowledge of Maldivian labor laws and HR compliance.

Excellent command of English; additional languages are a plus.

High level of emotional intelligence, integrity, and interpersonal sensitivity.

Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.

Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
