Job Overview

As the Food & Beverage Manager at Kurumba Maldives, you will be entrusted with the leadership and operational management of the resort’s food and beverage outlets. Your primary goal will be to deliver a seamless and memorable culinary experience for our guests while ensuring that service quality, team performance, and revenue targets align with the resort’s high standards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a diverse and passionate team, innovate through food and beverage concepts, and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure excellence across all touchpoints. From overseeing dining venues to executing promotional campaigns and refining guest service standards, your leadership will leave a lasting impression on every visitor to Kurumba Maldives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations Management
    Oversee all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and in-villa dining. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, consistent service delivery, and adherence to brand standards.

  • Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance
    Prioritize workplace safety by enforcing proper hygiene practices and food safety regulations. Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions when needed.

  • Inventory Control & Cost Management
    Monitor inventory levels, manage procurement and consumption, and take proactive measures to address shortages. Ensure cost-effective resource utilization and waste reduction.

  • Team Leadership & Development
    Provide strong leadership to the F&B team, including supervisors, chefs, bartenders, and service staff. Conduct regular training sessions, evaluate performance, and foster a collaborative work culture.

  • Guest Satisfaction Monitoring
    Engage with guests, assess satisfaction levels through direct feedback and surveys, and use insights to improve the overall dining experience. Respond to concerns and ensure service recovery is timely and effective.

  • Menu Innovation & Planning
    Collaborate with the Executive Chef and beverage team to design, review, and refine menus. Incorporate local flavors, seasonal ingredients, and international trends to delight diverse palates.

  • Marketing & Promotions
    Support and lead food and beverage-related promotional campaigns and resort events in line with brand strategy. Develop creative concepts that enhance guest engagement and drive revenue.

  • Interdepartmental Coordination
    Maintain effective communication with other resort departments, such as kitchen, housekeeping, events, and guest relations, to ensure smooth coordination and a unified guest experience.

  • Facility & Equipment Oversight
    Monitor maintenance needs of all F&B outlets. Coordinate with the engineering team for prompt resolutions to minimize downtime and maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of outlets.


Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a professional who exemplifies excellence in hospitality management and thrives in a multicultural resort environment.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or related field, with specialization in food and beverage.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of managerial experience in F&B operations, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, manage change, and meet operational targets.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hospitality software systems (such as POS, inventory, and scheduling tools).

  • Due to work permit restrictions, the candidate must meet the academic and professional criteria stated.
