Position: Assistant Purchasing & Cost Controller
We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Assistant Purchasing & Cost Controller to join our finance and procurement team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting procurement processes and implementing cost control mechanisms that contribute to the resort’s operational efficiency and financial goals.

Job Summary
As an Assistant Purchasing & Cost Controller, your primary responsibility will be to support the purchasing functions of the resort while monitoring and enforcing effective cost control practices. You will work closely with different departments to fulfill procurement needs while maintaining transparency, accuracy, and compliance with the resort’s internal policies.
You will also be involved in analyzing financial data, preparing cost reports, tracking inventory usage, and helping optimize operational costs across departments. This is a key position that contributes directly to maintaining financial discipline and ensuring the resort's long-term profitability.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in sourcing and evaluating vendors, obtaining quotations, and negotiating contracts to procure goods and services in a cost-effective manner.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate purchase records, vendor details, and inventory data.

Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and coordinate timely deliveries to avoid operational disruptions.

Monitor and track consumption patterns of various departments to ensure cost efficiency.

Perform regular inventory checks and coordinate stock-taking procedures.

Analyze cost data, prepare variance reports, and provide actionable insights to department heads.

Assist in creating budget forecasts and expense reports in line with organizational targets.

Ensure all procurement and cost-related activities comply with the resort’s financial policies and internal control systems.

Help identify areas for cost-saving and process optimization.

Support the finance and accounting team in reconciling invoices and ensuring accurate cost allocations.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, cost control, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial or procurement software tools.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of inventory management systems and financial reporting tools is an advantage.
