🧺 Position: Assistant Manager – Laundry

We are currently seeking a dedicated, experienced, and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Laundry to lead and oversee our laundry operations. This role is critical in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all accommodation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities:

As Assistant Manager – Laundry, your role will include—but is not limited to—the following responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Supervise daily laundry operations, ensuring all processes meet quality and hygiene standards consistent with five-star resort expectations.

  • Team Leadership: Train, motivate, and lead a multicultural laundry team to maintain productivity and service excellence.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the washing, drying, folding, and delivery of all hotel linens, staff uniforms, and guest laundry to ensure timely and efficient service.

  • Equipment Oversight: Ensure proper operation and maintenance of laundry machinery and equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions.

  • Chemical Safety & Usage: Maintain correct usage of chemicals and detergents, following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Inventory & Supplies Management: Track laundry supplies and linen inventory, placing orders when necessary to avoid shortages or overstocking.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with resort operational standards and health and safety regulations.

  • Guest Interaction: Coordinate with other departments to manage guest laundry requests efficiently, providing prompt and courteous service at all times.

  • Reporting: Maintain detailed operational logs, linen usage statistics, and staff performance reports for review by senior management.


✅ Candidate Profile

To qualify for this role, we are looking for individuals who bring strong leadership qualities, technical expertise in laundry operations, and a passion for delivering top-tier guest services in a luxury hospitality setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

  • Experience:
    Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in a laundry supervisory or assistant managerial role in five-star luxury resorts or international hotels.

  • Technical Knowledge:
    Solid understanding of laundry equipment, stain removal, washing cycles, chemical handling, and garment care, with the ability to troubleshoot common laundry issues efficiently.

  • Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:
    Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and inspire a multicultural team. Strong interpersonal skills and team-building capabilities are essential.

  • Communication Skills:
    Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages (such as Dhivehi, Hindi, or French) is an advantage.

  • Resilience & Flexibility:
    Must be able to work in a fast-paced island environment, handle pressure gracefully, and adapt to the ever-evolving needs of a luxury resort operation.

  • Guest-Centric Attitude:
    A strong focus on guest satisfaction with a proactive and solution-driven approach to service delivery.
