STELCO Announces Free Electrician Training Program for Women

STELCO has announced an initiative to empower women in the electrical field. Their new Beginners Electrician Course for Women aims to equip women with the skills and knowledge to excel in an industry traditionally dominated by men. 

Promoting Gender Diversity in the Electrical Industry

Historically, electrical work has been a male-dominated profession. However, STELCO is committed to changing that narrative by creating opportunities for women to thrive in the industry. Through this initiative, the company hopes to inspire more women to pursue careers in electrical work, offering a supportive environment where they can grow professionally and gain confidence in their abilities.

STELCO has a strong track record of supporting gender diversity and inclusivity, having employed female electricians and conducted similar training programs in the past. 

Course Overview

The Beginners Electrician Course for Women is designed to provide foundational training in electrical work. It’s a fantastic opportunity for women to gain essential skills.

Duration: 4 days
Daily Session: 3 hours per day

During the course, participants will learn:

  • Safe handling and use of electricity
  • Tips on reducing electricity consumption
  • Basic electrical wiring techniques

Who Can Apply?

The course is open to women who are at least 16 years old and interested in starting a career in electrical work. One of the major highlights of this program is that it is free of charge, ensuring that it is accessible to women from all walks of life.
