Job Title and Description

Diamonds Thudufushi Beach & Water Villas is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Human Resources Administrator (Local Candidate) to join its People & Culture team. This exciting job Maldives opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who is passionate about employee engagement, organizational development, and delivering excellence in a luxury resort job environment.

As a Human Resources Administrator, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day HR operations across the resort. You will support recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and training initiatives while ensuring alignment with company standards and Maldivian labor laws. This role is essential in fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing the overall employee experience in one of the Maldives’ leading hospitality settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and continuously improve People & Culture policies in compliance with local labor laws and corporate standards.
  • Manage recruitment processes, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations activities.
  • Handle staff discipline procedures and maintain HR administration aligned with operational needs.
  • Oversee expatriate visa and work permit processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and proper filing systems for employee records, both digital and physical.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll, compensation, benefits, and incentive schemes through HR systems such as Fusion.
  • Support the Training & Development team in assessing needs and executing annual training plans.
  • Promote company values through effective employee communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Handle grievances and disciplinary matters with professionalism, fairness, and consistency.
  • Supervise staff accommodation, welfare facilities, and ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.
  • Provide HR data analysis and insights to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Prepare accurate HR reports for audits, reviews, and internal evaluations.
  • Supervise and guide People & Culture team members to ensure smooth operations and accountability.
  • Drive innovation in HR practices while promoting sustainable and responsible initiatives across the resort.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of HR experience, including at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Maldivian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HR systems, preferably Fusion or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a multicultural team.
