Job Title and Description

Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resort Manager to lead our team and ensure operational excellence across the resort. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who has a strong background in 5-star luxury resort management and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

The Resort Manager will oversee all operational areas, including Rooms Division and Food & Beverage, ensuring that the resort maintains the highest standards of service and performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all resort operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments.
  • Develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing multicultural team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Ensure exceptional guest engagement through visible, hands-on leadership and personalized service delivery.
  • Monitor operational performance, including budgeting, cost control, and resource management, to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Drive service excellence, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in line with The Leading Hotels of the World standards.
  • Handle VIP guests with professionalism, discretion, and high emotional intelligence.
  • Collaborate with department heads to implement strategic initiatives and achieve operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and resort policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a 5-star luxury resort, including at least 2 years in a similar managerial role.
  • Prior experience in the Maldives is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Strong operational expertise across Rooms Division and Food & Beverage.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams in a multicultural setting.
  • Exceptional guest engagement skills and visible, hands-on leadership.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and professionalism, especially with VIP guests.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational performance metrics.
  • Physically fit and able to thrive in a fast-paced luxury resort environment.
