Patina Maldives, Fari Islands is currently seeking a highly motivated and creative Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager to join its Sales and Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and working closely with the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications, the Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a favourable public image for the resort. The position supports the development and execution of press relations, promotional strategies, advertising initiatives, and budget preparations, ensuring alignment with the brand’s positioning both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for overseeing and supporting a wide range of marketing and public relations activities. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing daily operations of the Marketing Communications department and ensuring compliance with resort service standards, policies, and procedures.
- Planning and executing promotional and communications strategies through public relations, media engagement, advertising placements, and printed materials.
- Creating compelling story angles, writing and distributing press releases, and securing media coverage and feature opportunities.
- Maintaining up-to-date press kits, image libraries, and resort fact sheets, ensuring all materials align with Patina brand standards.
- Coordinating and leading property photo and video shoots, media stays, press visits, and familiarization trips.
- Monitoring media coverage, preparing media clipping reports, and responding to media and client inquiries within required timelines.
- Acting as the on-site public relations contact and brand ambassador, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all communication channels.
- Supporting crisis communication protocols by promptly escalating issues to senior management when required.
- Mentoring team members, providing performance feedback, and supporting training, recruitment, and succession planning initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong combination of education, experience, and professional competencies. Requirements include:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a luxury hospitality brand or related industry.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Mandarin or Russian is preferred.
