Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is seeking a skilled and experienced HR Manager to lead its Human Resources department. This key leadership role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in HR management, who can foster a positive, professional, and multicultural workplace. The HR Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the resort attracts, develops, and retains top talent while maintaining compliance with labor laws and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities
As HR Manager at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the Human Resources department, providing guidance and support to the HR team.
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Maldives Employment Act, labor laws, employment contracts, and work permits.
- Manage HR systems and payroll processes efficiently.
- Provide leadership and advice on employee relations and confidential matters with integrity.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the resort’s goals and values.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and multicultural work environment.
- Support management in workforce planning and organizational development.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (Master’s degree or HR certifications such as CIPD or SHRM preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of HR leadership experience, including 2+ years as HR Manager.
- Strong knowledge of Maldives Employment Act, labor laws, employment contracts, and work permit procedures.
- Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Fusion) and payroll management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential matters with integrity.
- Strategic mindset with practical execution capability.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to foster a positive, multicultural workplace.
