Soneva Fushi is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join its Human Resources team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for Maldivian nationals to grow within one of the most recognized names in sustainable luxury hospitality.

The HR Assistant will support day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative tasks, while upholding Soneva’s commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and inspiring workplace.

Key Responsibilities

As an HR Assistant at Soneva Fushi, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support across HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Assisting with the management of work permits, visas, and other compliance-related processes.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records within HR management systems (HRMS).
  • Preparing HR-related documents, reports, and correspondence as required.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and activities to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Acting as a point of contact for employee queries, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Collaborating with the HR team to ensure smooth daily operations in line with Soneva standards.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Open to Maldivian nationals only.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury resort or hotel.
  • High school diploma required; a degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in HR management systems (HRMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Previous experience in managing work permits and visas will be considered an advantage.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and goal-driven personality.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
