Job Title and Description
Position: Waiter
Location: Malahini Kuda Bandos, Maldives
The resort is inviting applications for the role of Waiter (Maldivian Nationals only). The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, providing dining recommendations, and ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests in a pleasant and timely manner.
- Take and communicate orders accurately to the kitchen and bar.
- Offer recommendations to sell, upsell, and cross-sell products and services based on in-depth knowledge.
- Assist guests with special needs, including food allergens.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and confidently handle any guest concerns.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Tourism is desirable.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service sequence.
- Excellent communication skills: spoken, written, listening, and reading.
- Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to perform under pressure.
- WSET Level 1 Certificate in wines and spirits is an advantage.
