Job Title and Description

Position: Purchasing Manager
Location: Kuredhivaru Resort and Spa, Maldives

Kuredhivaru Resort and Spa is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee all procurement, receiving, and distribution processes for the resort’s F&B and non-F&B equipment and supplies. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, efficient sourcing, and timely delivery of goods to various departments.

The Purchasing Manager will work closely with the Financial Controller and department heads, leading the purchasing and stores team while upholding the highest standards of quality control and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Manager at Kuredhivaru Resort and Spa, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all procurement, receiving, and distribution activities for the resort’s supplies and equipment.
  • Formulate and update market lists for routine purchases.
  • Lead the purchasing, inventory, and store teams to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce control procedures for all incoming goods.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure timely delivery of purchased goods.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To be successful in this role, candidates should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position within an international luxury brand (Maldives experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Working knowledge of the MC system.
  • Strong vendor network within the Maldives.
  • High multicultural awareness and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Proactive attitude with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
