🧑‍🍳 Position: Steward (Maldivian)

Baros Maldives is currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Steward to support our Food & Beverage operations. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards across all kitchen and food preparation areas, supporting our chefs and service team in delivering unforgettable dining experiences.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

As a Steward at Baros Maldives, your daily responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and tableware.
Assisting chefs and kitchen staff by organizing and maintaining the dishwashing area and back-of-house spaces.
Operating dishwashing machines and handling chemicals safely and efficiently.
Disposing of waste in compliance with resort hygiene standards and environmental guidelines.
Supporting the kitchen and F&B team with basic preparation and setup duties when required.
Ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to and properly documented.
Following resort safety protocols and food hygiene standards.
Assisting with inventory checks and replenishment of cleaning supplies.

This role is critical to the smooth operation of the kitchen and contributes significantly to the guest experience by ensuring behind-the-scenes excellence.

✅ Job Requirements

We are looking for a local Maldivian candidate who is enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn. The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within a resort or hotel environment.
Prior experience in a luxury resort or international hospitality brand will be considered an added advantage.
Strong team spirit and the ability to adapt to a multicultural working environment.
High level of personal hygiene and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Willingness to work in a remote island setting and contribute to the community spirit of the resort.
“Can-do” attitude with the flexibility to take on new tasks as required.
Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and communicate effectively with team members.
