Available Job Position: Restaurant Hostess (Preferably Indonesian)
We are currently seeking an experienced Restaurant Hostess to join our team at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and professional individual to become a key part of our front-of-house team. As a Restaurant Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience from the moment they walk in.
Primary Responsibilities:
As the Restaurant Hostess, your responsibilities will include:

Greeting and Seating Guests:
You will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests upon their arrival at the restaurant and escorting them to their designated tables. Your friendly and professional demeanor will set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. -
Managing Reservations:
Handling reservations efficiently, ensuring that the restaurant is organized and well-prepared for guests, and managing waiting lists when necessary. You’ll be expected to maintain an organized seating chart and communicate effectively with the restaurant management team. -
Providing Information:
Providing guests with detailed information about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies. You’ll need to be knowledgeable about the food and beverage offerings and ready to answer any questions guests may have. -
Coordination with Service Staff:
Working closely with the restaurant’s waitstaff to ensure the smooth flow of service, ensuring that guests are promptly seated and served. Your ability to communicate effectively with the team will be critical to maintaining the high standard of service. -
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
Ensuring that the front-of-house area is clean, organized, and inviting at all times. This includes monitoring the reception area, the host stand, and any guest seating areas to maintain a welcoming atmosphere. -
Handling Guest Feedback:
Listening to and addressing any guest concerns or feedback, ensuring that every guest has a positive and memorable experience at the restaurant. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive dining atmosphere. -

Candidate Qualifications
To be considered for the Restaurant Hostess position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

Proven Experience:
At least one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a resort or luxury hotel environment. Previous experience in the Maldives or other resort destinations will be an added advantage. -
Maldivian Resort Experience:
Experience working in a Maldivian resort is highly desirable, as it provides valuable insights into the local culture and hospitality standards. -
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in other languages, especially Indonesian, is a plus. You should be able to interact effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds and provide them with top-tier service. -
Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. You should be able to manage guest concerns with tact and professionalism, ensuring a positive outcome. -
Interpersonal Skills:
