As a Bartender at Velassaru Maldives, you will play a vital role in enhancing the guest experience by serving beverages that elevate the island’s ambiance. From handcrafted cocktails at sunset to refreshing mocktails by the beach, the Bartender is responsible for creating memorable moments through world-class drink service.

Working across various service areas—including beach bars, lounges, restaurants, and deck areas—you will be an integral part of a team that embodies the spirit of warm island hospitality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Bartender will report to the Bar Supervisor and Food & Beverage Manager. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
🌟 Mixology & Beverage Service

Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with the resort's standards and recipes.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the drink menu, including wine, cocktail, spirits, and signature beverage offerings.

Personalize drink recommendations based on guest preferences, promoting the Velassaru experience through storytelling and expert advice.

Provide prompt, attentive, and friendly service in all guest interactions.

Respond to customer inquiries regarding beverages and assist in food pairing when required.

Ensure the bar area is fully stocked and immaculately clean throughout each shift.

Monitor inventory and inform supervisors when stock levels require replenishment.

Accurately input orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Ensure that all guest checks are recorded, closed correctly, and comply with internal financial procedures.

Maintain detailed knowledge of promotions, up-sell opportunities, and operational guidelines.

Maintain a high level of grooming and hygiene in line with Velassaru’s standards of presentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar position within a five-star resort, hotel, or hospitality establishment.
