About the Role: Assistant Sommelier
We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Sommelier to join our dynamic team. This role reports directly to the Head Sommelier and plays a key part in delivering memorable dining and wine experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead wine-tasting events to enhance guest experiences.
- Ensure all bars are impeccably set up and prepared to serve guests with excellence.
- Maintain the efficient operation of the wine cellar, ensuring cleanliness, temperature control, and proper storage of wine inventories.
- Assist in the training and development of the team on wine service procedures.
- Work closely with the Food and Beverage team to curate an exceptional wine list that complements our gourmet offerings.
Skills & Experiences
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position within an international luxury brand.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Possess an Introductory Level Sommelier Certificate or higher.
- Strong understanding of wine, wine service procedures, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in using MICROS and MS Programs.
- Multicultural awareness and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- A vibrant and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility with working hours and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
