We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team.
Position: Chief Accountant
As a Chief Accountant at dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounting department. This includes overseeing all financial functions such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cashiering, audit, and payroll. You will work closely with the Finance Controller to ensure accurate financial transactions and compliance with company policies and statutory obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all accounting sections (AP, AR, cashiering, audit, payroll).
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded with proper General Ledger (GL) codes and descriptions.
- Monitor the accounting team to ensure they follow company policies and procedures.
- Assist the Finance Controller in overseeing the daily operations of the Finance department.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and reporting requirements.
- Handle reconciliation of financial accounts and produce accurate financial reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial data.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a reputable institution.
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with hotel operating systems and accounting software.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Highly computer literate and detail-oriented.
