Dhiraagu has officially introduced "Net Protect," a new service aimed at enhancing internet safety.
Enhancing Internet Safety
The "Net Protect" service is designed to safeguard users from unsafe websites and harmful links. With cyber threats becoming increasingly common, the need for robust security measures is more crucial than ever. When a user inputs personal information on a website flagged as unsafe, they will receive an immediate notification, alerting them to potential dangers.
During a press conference held at Dhiraagu's headquarters, Ahmed Ishan, the Customer Value Manager for Broadband and Devices, emphasized the importance of this new service. “We are committed to providing the safest internet service for Dhiraagu customers. This service can be activated by any customer by logging into their Dhiraagu main account,” Ishan explained.
Seamless and User-Friendly
One of the standout features of "Net Protect" is its ease of use. Customers can enjoy secure internet access without needing to install additional software or applications. This streamlined approach allows users to customize their internet experience according to their preferences.
“With Dhiraagu Net Protect, users can filter and block various websites. Customers can choose to block or unblock specific sites at designated times and can filter out websites that are not child-friendly,” Ishan added. This flexibility ensures that families can create a safer online environment for their children.
Affordable and Accessible
The "Net Protect" service is customizable through the Protect portal, catering to both mobile internet and fixed broadband users. For just MVR 35 per month, mobile users can activate this essential service, while fixed broadband customers can enjoy it for MVR 50 per month. This affordability makes it accessible to a broad range of customers.
Moreover, the service empowers users to block websites that may compromise their accounts or personal information, along with harmful sites that violate societal norms. This added layer of protection is crucial in today’s digital landscape, where online threats are prevalent.
