Job Title and Description
Malahini Kuda Bandos is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waiter to join its dynamic Food & Beverage team. The selected candidate will play a key role in welcoming guests, providing personalized service, and promoting the resort’s food and beverage offerings. As a Waiter, you will be responsible for ensuring that each guest enjoys a seamless dining experience, from arrival to departure, while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen and bar teams.
- Provide menu recommendations and confidently upsell or cross-sell based on product knowledge.
- Assist guests with special requests, including dietary requirements and food allergen information.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper setup of the restaurant in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and handle concerns or feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a high level of service excellence to enhance the overall guest dining experience.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Tourism is desirable.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a resort or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service sequences and standards.
- Good time management, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Certification in WSET Level 1 in Wines and Spirits will be considered an added advantage.
