Key Responsibilities
As a Bartender at Six Senses Kanuhura, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting guests courteously and ensuring attentive service at all times.
- Preparing and presenting beverages with precision, knowledge, and creativity.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all drinks, cocktails, menus, and daily activities in F&B outlets.
- Ensuring prompt, efficient, and consistent service standards for all beverages.
- Setting up and preparing mis-en-place for cocktails and drinks before service.
- Maintaining the cleanliness, condition, and presentation of menus, wine lists, and bar equipment.
- Working with empathy and professionalism while adhering to Six Senses guidelines.
- Upholding LQA standards and responding effectively to guest feedback.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality diploma/degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience as a bartender in a luxury resort or full-service outlet.
- Strong expertise in cocktail-making, beverage service, garnishing, and wine/spirits knowledge.
- Valid alcohol awareness certification and/or food handler card, as required.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide emotional hospitality.
- A passion for sustainability, wellness, and delivering crafted guest experiences.
