Location: Meeru Maldives Resort Island
Meeru Maldives Resort Island is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Steward to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate is passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while supporting smooth restaurant and catering operations.
As a Steward, you will play a key role in ensuring a clean and organized dining and kitchen environment, assisting the team with operational tasks, and upholding the resort’s commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all soiled ware is cleaned properly and stored correctly.
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, including appropriate dress, headgear, frequent handwashing, and use of protective gloves when necessary.
- Report any food safety concerns, including unfit or out-of-date food, contamination risks, or pest sightings, to management immediately.
- Assist catering staff and help move supplies and equipment as needed.
- Perform additional duties as requested to support daily restaurant and kitchen operations.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position in hospitality or food & beverage services.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Outgoing, friendly personality with a cheerful attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to hygiene and safety standards.
- High school education or equivalent; any combination of education, training, or experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.
