Available Position: Marine Mechanic
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marine Mechanic to join our engineering department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a world-class resort while expanding your career in marine mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Marine Mechanic at Siyam World, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of our marine fleet. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain outboard and inboard engines, petrol and diesel engines, and other marine equipment used in the resort.
- Technical Diagnostics: Conduct inspections and diagnostics to detect mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring all repairs are carried out efficiently.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement regular preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and enhance performance.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond swiftly to urgent repair requests and ensure all boats and marine equipment remain in excellent working condition.
- Spare Parts Management: Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts, ensuring timely procurement of necessary components.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work adheres to safety standards and regulations, reducing risks and ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the water sports, diving, and transportation teams to ensure smooth operations across the resort’s marine activities.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
✅ Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine mechanics, specifically handling outboard and inboard engines, petrol and diesel engines.
✅ Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
✅ Self-starter and goal-oriented mindset, able to work independently and take initiative.
✅ Excellent team player, capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
✅ Adaptability to respond and adjust to various technical challenges and unexpected situations.
✅ Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards in the workplace.
✅ Technical expertise in engine maintenance, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and propulsion units.
✅ Passion for the marine industry, with a dedication to keeping all marine equipment in top condition.
