Job Opportunity: Receiving Officer (Exclusive for Maldivians)

We are currently seeking a Receiving Officer to join our dynamic team at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef Resort. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the resort’s supply chain and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, inspecting, and verifying goods delivered to the resort, ensuring they meet quality standards and are consistent with purchase orders.
  • Coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Maintaining accurate records of goods received, including updating stock and inventory management systems.
  • Handling discrepancies, returns, and replacements, and ensuring proper documentation is in place.
  • Assisting the Finance team in managing and reconciling financial records related to supplies.
  • Ensuring that all goods are stored in the correct location and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Adhering to company policies and industry standards for quality control and safety procedures.
  • Collaborating closely with purchasing and accounts departments to ensure smooth operational flows.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a Maldives resort or hotel.
  • Relevant professional qualification in finance or accounting, with strong knowledge of financial procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other hotel-related computer systems.
  • Strong English language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Flexible and available to work both opening and closing shifts when required.
  • A strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
