Position Available: Engineering Coordinator
Are you an organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for hospitality and operations? Do you have an interest in the technical side of resort management, and are you ready to contribute to the operational success of one of the most renowned resorts in the Maldives? Then the Engineering Coordinator position at Kurumba Maldives might be the perfect opportunity for you.
As an Engineering Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer. This position requires an individual with strong organizational and administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively with various teams within the resort.
Job Summary:
The Engineering Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all engineering-related records, assisting in preparation and management of reports, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring the smooth communication between the Engineering Department and the rest of the resort. You will help organize meetings, manage technical manuals, and support engineering staff in their day-to-day operations. In addition, you will assist in coordinating maintenance schedules and renovation projects.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong Organizational and Administrative Skills: The ability to manage a variety of tasks with attention to detail is essential in this role.
- Proficiency in Computer Applications: You should be comfortable using MS applications and basic technical knowledge.
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to handle communication across different teams, departments, and levels within the resort.
- Team-Oriented Mindset: A collaborative approach to problem-solving and team coordination is a must.
- Basic Knowledge of Technical Terminology: A foundation in technical knowledge would be beneficial for this role.
- Administrative Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role within the engineering or hospitality industry will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize all engineering-related records, logs, and documentation.
- Assist in preparing engineering reports, schedules, and departmental budgets.
- Coordinate communication between the Engineering Department and other resort departments.
- Ensure the department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operation manuals are up-to-date.
- Organize and manage meetings to establish operational priorities and resolve issues.
- Support and train engineering staff in administrative procedures.
- Support the implementation of maintenance and renovation projects by coordinating schedules and resources.
- File and organize technical manuals and documents.
