- Assistant Manager of People & Culture
This role plays a key part in supporting the full human resources function across multiple resort properties, ensuring smooth operations, strong employee engagement, and compliance with company and legal standards. Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager of People & Culture will be responsible for supporting and executing a wide range of HR functions across the resort cluster:
- Ensure consistent implementation of Minor Hotels People & Culture policies, procedures, and standards across all resorts.
- Support daily HR operations including employee lifecycle management and administrative HR services.
- Ensure compliance with Maldivian Labour Law and expatriate employment regulations including work permits and visa processing.
- Coordinate recruitment activities including manpower planning, job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Facilitate employee communication, engagement programs, and internal feedback channels.
- Support grievance handling and employee relations processes in a fair and professional manner.
- Coordinate team member accommodation, transport, and welfare arrangements.
- Assist in disciplinary procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Support payroll, compensation, and benefits administration including incentives and bonuses.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure timely staffing and workforce planning across all properties.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To be successful in this luxury resort job, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of HR experience, preferably in the hospitality industry or remote resort operations.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of Maldivian Employment Act and expatriate labor regulations including visa and work permit processes.
- Experience with HR systems such as Oracle Fusion is considered an advantage.
