Job Title and Description
Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Rooms Division Manager to join its leadership team. This is an exciting luxury resort job opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a high-end environment and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As the Rooms Division Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of Front Office and Housekeeping departments, ensuring seamless coordination and the highest standards of service delivery. You will play a key role in maintaining the resort’s reputation for excellence while leading a multicultural team in a fast-paced and guest-focused environment.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong leadership capabilities, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality standards, particularly within the Maldives or similar resort destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of Front Office and Housekeeping departments.
- Ensure exceptional guest service standards in line with luxury hospitality expectations.
- Monitor room inventory, occupancy levels, and revenue optimization strategies.
- Implement and maintain I-QA standards and service quality benchmarks.
- Lead, train, and motivate a diverse, multicultural team to achieve operational excellence.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences across all touchpoints.
- Utilize PMS systems such as Opera for reservations, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for senior management.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Rooms Division operations within a 5-star luxury resort.
- Previous experience in the Maldives or similar remote island environments is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Proven experience managing both Front Office and Housekeeping teams.
- Strong understanding of I-QA standards and luxury guest service delivery.
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS), such as Opera or similar platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage room inventory, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
