We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Private Nanny / Childcare Specialist to join Diamonds Athuruga Beach & Water Villas. The ideal candidate will provide full-time care, supervision, and developmental support for young children, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
This role is an exceptional opportunity for individuals seeking resort careers and hospitality jobs in the Maldives that combine childcare expertise with luxury service standards. As a Private Nanny, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our youngest guests while working in a professional, supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and full-time care for a 3-year-old child.
- Ensure the child’s safety, health, and emotional wellbeing at all times.
- Plan and maintain a structured daily routine including meals, naps, playtime, and educational activities.
- Organize age-appropriate developmental activities to support early learning.
- Encourage positive behavior, social skills, and good manners.
- Supervise meals and snacks following parental instructions and dietary guidance.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the child’s room, clothes, toys, and personal items.
- Monitor the child’s health and immediately report any concerns.
- Accompany the child to outdoor activities or medical appointments if required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with parents and resort management.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Proven experience as a Nanny or in early childhood care.
- Fluent in spoken English; additional languages such as German or South African languages are a strong advantage.
- First Aid certification is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote island resort environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patient, empathetic, and capable of fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
- Willingness to relocate to the Maldives.
