We are currently seeking passionate and skilled individuals for the following position at Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort:
- Commis – Signature Restaurant (Seafood)
This role is ideal for candidates who are enthusiastic about culinary arts, particularly seafood preparation, and wish to advance their careers in a vibrant, luxury resort environment. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes while supporting a team dedicated to excellence in guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of seafood dishes for the Signature Restaurant, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
- Follow established recipes and adhere to the resort’s culinary guidelines and quality expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen area, following HACCP principles and food safety standards.
- Support senior chefs and other kitchen staff in day-to-day operations.
- Demonstrate creativity and initiative in the preparation of ingredients while ensuring consistency and presentation excellence.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively and communicating clearly with colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar culinary role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Proven experience in seafood preparation and knowledge of proper cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety standards.
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interest in learning and developing skills in a professional culinary environment.
- Team-oriented with a positive, reliable, and professional attitude.
- Basic English communication skills for effective coordination in a multicultural team.
