Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong technical background and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency and safety within a luxury resort environment.
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure across the resort are functioning efficiently and safely. You will work closely with the Engineering team to support the smooth operation of guest villas, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

Key Responsibilities
As an Electrician at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa, your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all electrical systems and equipment throughout the resort.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults to ensure uninterrupted service and safety for guests and staff.
- Performing preventive maintenance on lighting, wiring, control panels, and power distribution systems.
- Collaborating with the Engineering team on new installations and energy efficiency improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and resort maintenance policies at all times.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and providing excellent internal service to departments.
- Keeping accurate maintenance records and reporting issues to the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To excel in this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably within a luxury resort or hospitality environment.
- Technical diploma or relevant electrical certification.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, energy-saving systems, and emergency procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
