Key Responsibilities
As a Restaurant Hostess (Chinese or Arabic Speaking) at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, your responsibilities include:
- Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and energetic attitude, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.
- Manage reservations, seating flow, and guest waitlists to ensure smooth operations on the dining floor.
- Keep menus, table setups, and dining areas clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Communicate effectively with servers regarding special requests, celebrations, and guest preferences.
- Answer guest calls and inquiries professionally, maintaining Hard Rock standards at all times.
- Upsell menu items confidently and enhance the overall guest experience.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to maintain a high-energy, welcoming dining environment.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in Food & Beverage or restaurant operations, preferably in an island resort environment.
- Fluency in Chinese or Arabic and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems and cashiering skills preferred.
- Ability to stand for long hours and work efficiently during shifts.
- Confident, friendly, and engaging personality with excellent communication skills.
- Team player with a positive, high-energy attitude that contributes to a fun work environment.
- Well-presented and professional appearance that reflects the Hard Rock brand.
- Ability to upsell and create authentic, memorable dining experiences for guests.
