Velassaru Maldives is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient functioning of the department while supporting central reservation and sales efforts to maximize occupancy and revenue.
The Reservations Agent will interact with guests, travel agents, and online travel platforms, providing exceptional service and accurate information to maintain Velassaru’s high standards. Key Responsibilities
As a Reservations Agent at Velassaru Maldives, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing reservations via email, telephone, fax, and central reservation referrals.
- Handling bookings from sales offices, travel agents, OTAs, and direct guests.
- Providing information and service to tour operators, travel agencies, and OTAs.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of resort policies, packages, rates, and promotions.
- Preparing confirmation letters and managing cancellations or modifications, ensuring Front Desk is informed.
- Monitoring room pick-ups, forecasts, and adjusting reservations proactively.
- Updating and managing the channel manager, including OTA inventory rates and special offers.
- Supporting the Sales & Marketing team to maximize occupancy and revenue targets.
- Handling comp sets, group bookings, and daily conversion reports.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a 5-star resort.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
