The Barefoot Eco Hotel is seeking an energetic, passionate, and highly motivated Marine Biologist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for candidates who are committed to marine conservation, eco-tourism, and environmental education, while also providing engaging experiences for our guests.
The Marine Biologist will lead snorkeling trips, mega fauna monitoring excursions, and marine conservation initiatives, combining scientific expertise with guest interaction. Candidates should be fluent in English and, ideally, another language such as German, French, or Italian, to connect with our international guest base.

Key Responsibilities
As a Marine Biologist at The Barefoot Eco Hotel, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead snorkeling trips and mega fauna monitoring excursions for guests, providing engaging and educational experiences.
- Develop and implement the hotel’s Eco Concept projects, collaborating with local institutions, charities, and environmental organizations.
- Organize staff and guest activities related to sustainability, such as beach cleanups and conservation initiatives.
- Conduct Marine Biology, Ecology, and Conservation presentations and screenings of marine documentaries for guests in the evenings.
- Ensure all activities align with the hotel’s environmental and sustainability standards.
- Work closely with the hotel team to foster a collaborative and eco-conscious work environment.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Relevant degree or certification in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (German, French, Italian) preferred.
- Certified Rescue Diver or higher diving certifications (preferred).
- Strong commitment to teamwork and customer service excellence.
