Velassaru Maldives is looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef to join its culinary team. This role is ideal for motivated professionals who want to build their career in the kitchen of a world-class luxury resort.
The Commis will play an important role in preparing and delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest hygiene and sanitation standards. This is a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to an award-winning culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Commis at Velassaru Maldives, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing all orders in your section according to agreed standards, ensuring dishes are accurate and timely.
- Maintaining all areas of the kitchen section in a clean and hygienic condition, strictly adhering to hygiene regulations.
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment in your area is well-maintained and in proper working order.
- Supporting the Chef de Partie in the daily operation of the section.
- Upholding excellent grooming and hygiene, following all resort standards for personal presentation and uniform.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a five-star resort environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Hot Kitchen operations.
- Ability to communicate fluently in both spoken and written English.
- Hardworking, with a positive attitude and pleasant personality.
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
