Kuramathi Maldives is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join the Team Restaurant. As a senior member of the kitchen team, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality food production. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about hospitality, food excellence, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food preparation and ensure all dishes meet quality standards.
- Assist the Head Chef in creating menus, recipes, and developing new dishes.
- Manage food ordering, receiving, and checking for quality and quantity compliance.
- Train and motivate kitchen staff to meet operational standards.
- Supervise the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Inspect food storage and refrigerated areas for proper maintenance.
- Ensure work areas, equipment, and supplies are clean and sanitized.
- Maintain high hygiene standards in all aspects of food production.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Sous Chef or senior kitchen role.
- Experience in Western cuisine is an added advantage.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Strong people management skills with ability to train and motivate staff.
- Hardworking with a positive attitude and a pleasant personality.
