Position: Sous Chef – Team Restaurant
Location: Kuramathi Maldives

Kuramathi Maldives is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join the Team Restaurant. As a senior member of the kitchen team, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality food production. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about hospitality, food excellence, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily food preparation and ensure all dishes meet quality standards.
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus, recipes, and developing new dishes.
  • Manage food ordering, receiving, and checking for quality and quantity compliance.
  • Train and motivate kitchen staff to meet operational standards.
  • Supervise the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.
  • Inspect food storage and refrigerated areas for proper maintenance.
  • Ensure work areas, equipment, and supplies are clean and sanitized.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards in all aspects of food production.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Sous Chef or senior kitchen role.
  • Experience in Western cuisine is an added advantage.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Strong people management skills with ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Hardworking with a positive attitude and a pleasant personality.
