Jumeirah Olhahali Island Maldives is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Intern to join our F&B Service Team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in luxury resort dining and hospitality operations while working alongside experienced professionals.
As a Food and Beverage Intern, you will support the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences, from welcoming and seating guests to providing attentive, professional service throughout their visit. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates with a passion for hospitality and a desire to learn in a world-class luxury resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Food and Beverage Intern at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide guests with a unique and outstanding dining experience, ensuring all interactions are friendly, attentive, and professional.
- Warmly welcome and seat guests while delivering prompt, efficient, and personalized service throughout their visit.
- Possess extensive knowledge of the menu, beverages, restaurant concepts, and promotions to confidently answer all guest queries.
- Guide, recommend, and upsell food and beverage offerings to enhance the dining experience, boost sales, and encourage repeat visits.
- Answer phone calls and assist with restaurant reservations, special requests, and event bookings using relevant F&B systems.
- Consistently uphold high service standards, presentation, and hospitality to maximize guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Currently a student at a hospitality or business school, or a recent graduate.
- Prior internship experience in a 5-star hotel or luxury environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in English, with a second language (Russian or another European language) considered an advantage.
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Available to start in August 2025.
- Passion for hospitality, learning, and delivering exceptional guest service.
