Job Type: Internship (Minimum 3 months, extendable up to 6 months)
Coco Bodu Hithi is looking for a Marine Intern who is passionate about ocean conservation and enthusiastic about educating others. This is a hands-on hospitality job in the Maldives where you'll actively assist in marine biology tasks, engage with resort guests, and contribute to meaningful coral reef restoration efforts.
Ideal candidates should be eager to learn, capable in the water, and confident working both behind the scenes and directly with resort guests. Whether you’re currently enrolled in university or a recent graduate, this role is a stepping stone into a career in marine science or luxury resort sustainability initiatives.
๐ Key Responsibilities
As a Marine Intern at Coco Bodu Hithi, your main duties will include:

Assisting the resident Marine Biologist in daily tasks

Supporting coral nursery monitoring and reef restoration efforts

Helping with turtle, manta ray, and marine life photo identification projects

Guiding guests on informative and engaging snorkeling excursions

Leading environmental awareness sessions and activities for guests

Contributing to data collection and marine outreach content
๐ Qualifications and Skills Required
To qualify for this internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Currently pursuing or holding a degree (preferably in marine biology, environmental science, or related fields)

Strong in-water skills (snorkeling/swimming)

Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
