Job Title and Description: Chief Baker
Coco Bodu Hithi is seeking a Chief Baker to oversee all bakery operations within the resort’s food and beverage department. This full-time role demands a skilled professional who can ensure the highest standards in baking quality, hygiene, and presentation. As Chief Baker, you will lead the bakery team, innovate new product offerings, and maintain strict control over production schedules and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the bakery section to ensure smooth workflow.

Prepare a diverse range of baked products including breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty items tailored to guest preferences.

Develop and plan new bakery recipes aligned with seasonal themes and trends.

Guarantee quality, freshness, and consistency in all bakery items served to guests.

Monitor inventory levels, order ingredients timely, and manage cost control effectively.

Train, schedule, and oversee bakery staff, fostering a motivated and skilled team.

Maintain all bakery equipment in safe, working condition and uphold high hygiene standards per HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Bakery, or Pastry Arts from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a luxury resort or hotel bakery setting.

Prior experience working in the Maldives or other remote island locations is highly preferred.
