Position Overview: Reservations Supervisor
As a Reservations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the reservations department. This is a unique opportunity to maximize revenue potential while enhancing guest satisfaction. Working closely with the Reservations Manager, you will be instrumental in driving team performance, maintaining operational accuracy, and ensuring adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the reservations department to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the Reservations Manager by implementing and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Train and coach Reservations Agents to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Regularly review room availability and pricing strategies to optimize revenue opportunities.
- Implement upselling and cross-selling initiatives to boost overall profitability.
- Conduct arrival quality checks and coordinate with relevant departments to meet guest expectations.
- Utilize Opera PMS, SynXis, and Lighthouse systems to manage reservations effectively.
- Maintain communication standards and ensure compliance with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) guidelines for reservations.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Educational Background:
- Minimum of a college diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within reservations, preferably with upscale or luxury hotel brands.
- Familiarity with room inventory management, revenue strategies, and reservation processes.
- Experience in the Maldives or similar luxury destinations is an added advantage.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficiency in Opera PMS, SynXis, Lighthouse, or similar reservation systems.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages such as Russian, German, or Arabic are a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Solution-oriented with excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Flexible and committed to working weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as required.
