Job Overview: Island Host (German Speaking)
As an Island Host at Meeru Maldives Resort, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests from arrival to departure. You will act as the key liaison between guests and the resort’s various departments, helping to create seamless, unforgettable experiences during their stay.
This position requires someone who is both guest-focused and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills, particularly in the German language. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all guest needs are met with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency, whether that’s coordinating with other departments or providing personalized services to make each guest's stay memorable.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: You will be responsible for welcoming and greeting guests with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring their arrival and check-in process is smooth and efficient.
- Coordination: Work closely with all departments (Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Spa, Excursions, etc.) to ensure that guest requests are met and that they have a seamless stay.
- Reservations and Requests: Assist guests with making restaurant reservations, booking excursions, and fulfilling any other special requests to enhance their experience.
- Reports and VIP Management: Ensure that all necessary reports, including VIP lists and arrival lists, are available and up to date to help the team provide personalized attention to each guest.
- Problem Resolution: Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Communication: As a German-speaking Island Host, fluency in German is required to ensure that German-speaking guests feel at home and their needs are understood and met. Other language skills such as French, Spanish, or Chinese would be an advantage.
